Paroa Estate’s development was partly made possible by the farming activities of its former owners. During the 1980s and 1990s, there was a significant increase in demand for 4-hectare lifestyle plots in the Greymouth area. As a result, all the surrounding land was divided to create such plots. This development now benefits from modern subdivision practices, while still being close enough to offer views of the lush West Coast greenery.
