Our experienced survey team offers technical experience combined with local expertise particularly in Christchurch, Greymouth, Nelson, Timaru, Wānaka and the surrounding regions, and a proven track record of delivering across a wide range of projects.
Our experienced surveying team used advanced technology and proven methodologies to deliver precise, reliable data. We also use the latest drones, including a LiDAR drone, to quickly get an accurate understanding of a site’s topography, even though vegetation.
Using a mix of surveying, UAV mapping, LiDAR and digital modelling, we can quickly gather accurate spatial data, even where access is limited or conditions are changing. That information can be processed into maps, models and visual tools that help teams assess damage, plan access and monitor change over time.
Our experienced geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists assess soil, rock and groundwater conditions to inform what comes next.
We can get involved at different points depending on the site and what’s needed. Sometimes that’s as fast as possible in response to a risk, or when long-term remediation options are still being explored.

Risk-based assessment is increasingly central to planning and resource consent decision‑making. The National Policy Statement for Natural Hazards 2025 requires councils to manage natural hazards using a risk‑based approach, so hazard risk information is often needed early to inform location, design and staging decisions.
A climate risk assessment looks at how climate related hazards could affect a site or asset over time and what that means for planning, design, construction and longer term decisions. It helps project teams understand risk in context.
It depends on the location and project, but councils and project teams commonly need risk information for hazards such as flooding, landslips, coastal erosion, coastal inundation, active faults, liquefaction and tsunami. The key is that hazard risk is considered in a proportionate, risk‑based way, based on what’s relevant to the site and the proposal.
If hazard or climate related risk could influence your options, earlier is usually more efficient. Getting the right technical input up front can help shape the scope of investigations, clarify what information is needed for consenting and reduce rework later. We’re often involved while options are still being explored, and we also support projects as they move through design and construction when conditions and requirements evolve.
Yes. This work can include raising existing embankments, significant earthworks, riverbank armouring, geotechnical investigation, surveying, consenting support and construction coordination, including alongside existing infrastructure and public spaces.
