Education projects are developed to meet specific guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education. We work alongside clients, architects and the wider design team to understand the specific site constraints and requirements to develop solutions.

By taking the time in the early stages of the project to understand how schools want to operate, we work with the client and design team to develop concept designs, which once approved are progressed to developed and detailed solutions.

STRUCTURAL ASSESSMENT

For existing schools, we assess buildings to understand their structural and seismic performance. For new schools or campus developments, we review site conditions and provide concept advice to inform both the building layout and foundation approach.

CIVIL PLANNING

Our civil work looks at how people and vehicles move through a site and how infrastructure supports everyday use. This includes access for pedestrians and pupils, parking and stormwater design that fits naturally with school grounds and outdoor spaces.

COLLABORATIVE DESIGN

We work closely with the client, architects and design team to provide structural systems which support flexible learning environments. Design development is coordinated as spaces, loads and layouts change through the design process.

CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION

During construction, we provide site observation and respond to issues as they arise, to help construction meet the requirement of the design.
