The Brief
We were engaged to support the recovery of the Marlborough road network following significant weather events in 2021 and 2022. Our role was to help assess natural hazard risks and potential improvements.
What We Did
The Marlborough Roads Recovery Team was established to repair and restore the Marlborough road network following the weather events of 2021 and 2022. The team is a joint venture between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Marlborough District Council, Marlborough Roads, Fulton Hogan and HEB Construction.
We supported the team by providing natural hazard assessments for more than fifteen locations across the network, along with detailed design for a range of retaining, drainage improvement and road realignment options.
