Dave has been involved in the design and management of major residential subdivisions and infrastructure projects across Canterbury.

Dave is a senior civil engineer based over 20 years’ experience in civil engineering, and more than 15 years in project management roles on roading and infrastructure projects. His work spans the South Island, particularly North Canterbury, the Mackenzie region and Christchurch. 

He provides expertise across the civil aspects of land development and infrastructure projects, with experience across the full project lifecycle from initial concept design through to detailed construction design, contract administration and on-site supervision. Dave works closely with clients, local authorities, contractors and subconsultants and helps coordinate stakeholders while also managing cost, quality and programme requirements. 

Dave’s project experience includes the design and management of major residential subdivisions such as Silverstream Estate in Kaiapoi and Ravenswood in Woodend. He has also been involved in large-scale infrastructure projects, including the Shands Road roundabouts and intersections and the Waterloo Business Park development. 

Elliot enjoys helping clients navigate complex development challenges and is passionate about projects that create lasting value for communities, infrastructure networks and the environment.

A Director with more than two decades of experience, Elliot leads our engineering operations and brings extensive experience in civil and geotechnical engineering across the South Island. His work spans residential, commercial, infrastructure, tourism and recreation developments, with expertise including large-scale land development, critical infrastructure, natural hazard resilience, and flood and earthquake recovery.

He has been involved in projects ranging from greenfield developments and transport infrastructure to alpine facilities, tourism destinations and community assets, bringing a wealth of technical expertise to every project.

Known for his collaborative leadership style, Elliot enjoys working alongside clients, councils, contractors and project teams. He's particularly skilled at balancing technical requirements, environmental considerations, stakeholder expectations and long-term project objectives.

Alongside his project work, he's advised councils and national panels, contributed specialist expertise during major earthquake and flood responses, and provided evidence as an expert witness in High Court proceedings. He's also a strong advocate for sustainable engineering and plays a leads our sustainability initiatives.

In 2025, Elliot was appointed an Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau Fellow (learn more), recognising his contribution to the profession and wider industry.

Outside of work, you'll find Elliot and his family in the surf or on the slopes actively relaxing.

Russell has spent more than 30 years helping shape communities across the South Island.

As a Director, Licensed Cadastral Surveyor and Planner, he combines technical expertise with a passion for people, places and outcomes. Whether supporting a large-scale development, a tourism project or a community-focused initiative, Russell brings a calm, solutions-focused approach and the knowledge of how to turn ideas into successful projects.

He specialises in the strategic planning and consenting of complex development proposals, providing integrated advice that bridges planning, surveying and land development engineering. He regularly guides projects from early feasibility and master planning through to consent approval and implementation.

A qualified commissioner, Russell has strong understanding of the Resource Management Act and associated decision making frameworks. He’s regarded for his balanced, independent judgement and ability to assess complex proposals by weighing planning, urban design, engineering, legal and environmental considerations.

Russell enjoys working alongside clients, councils, consultants and contractors and building strong relationships. He takes particular satisfaction in mentoring younger professionals and helping clients navigate complex projects, drawing on more than three decades of experience.

Outside of work, Russell enjoys spending time with family and making the most of everything the South Island has to offer. A keen cook, yachtie and skier, he values the strong community connections that have been built throughout his career and remains passionate about supporting projects that leave a positive legacy for future generations.
