Ben is a senior civil engineer working across the geotechnical and civil engineering teams in Christchurch. He also manages the safety and innovation of Davis Ogilvie’s high-tech drone surveying and aerial observation capabilities.
Ben has been involved in a variety of geotechnical projects including large scale ground testing and reporting of developments. Among these has been the New Arterial Road and Stages 1 – 4 at Silverstream in Kaiapoi. Ben has also led numerous other large investigations throughout Christchurch and Canterbury. These have included providing detailed geotechnical reports for new housing, industrial sites, and repairs to existing structures.
Ben’s geotechnical expertise adds significant value to the civil engineering team. He provides onsite supervision for bulk earthworks, site investigations, and subgrade inspections, and undertakes Civil 3D design for residential and industrial developments, including stormwater modelling.
