Sophie's proactive approach enables her to work closely with communities, regulatory authorities and technical experts to create sustainable and impactful solutions.
Sophie is a Chartered Professional Natural Resources Engineer with expertise in stormwater design, hydrology, environmental assessments and the design of 3-waters services for urban and rural developments. She co-leads our Civil Team, supporting teams across our Christchurch and Greymouth offices.
Having worked on a range of water infrastructure projects across New Zealand and the Pacific, Sophie's experience includes stormwater and servicing design for large-scale residential and commercial developments, infrastructure upgrades for councils, civil design for school redevelopments, healthcare and retirement villages, and environmental management planning for complex water projects.
She has strong relationships with local authorities, and is experienced in navigating district and regional consenting requirements.
Alongside her engineering work, Sophie contributes through governance roles in the community. In 2024, her commitment was recognised with the Emerging Director Award from the Canterbury Institute of Directors.
