Mark Sellars
Senior Engineering Geologist
Based in: Christchurch
Mark is an engineering geologist based in Christchurch who has been involved in a wide range of geotechnical projects.
His work spans residential and large commercial developments, with a focus on site investigation planning and management, ground model development and site characterisation.
Much of Mark’s work involves desk studies, site investigations, analysis, design and reporting prepared to meet MBIE guidelines for Christchurch and NZS 3604 site testing requirements. He has carried out investigations for domestic and commercial properties and subdivisions across TC1, TC2 and TC3 areas in and around Christchurch, as well as unclassified sites across Canterbury, the West Coast and Nelson.
More recently, Mark has worked extensively on large-scale land development projects. This includes geotechnical investigations for subdivision consent, investigations supporting infrastructure design, including sewer pump stations, three waters and pavement design, earthworks construction monitoring, geotechnical completion reporting, individual lot reporting and subgrade inspections for individual builds.
