Bjorn is a Principal Engineering Geologist and Chartered Professional. Based in our Christchurch office, his work includes geotechnical investigations, seismic engineering and natural hazard assessment, along with earth structures, ground improvement and foundations for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
He has a particular interest in the assessment and modelling of natural hazards, including rockfall and debris flows. For several years, he was a member of the slope stability emergency panel, undertaking call out duties to evaluate potential risks to structures and people in the Christchurch Port Hills and North Canterbury, including Kaikōura. He has also assessed landslide and cliff collapse hazards across locations ranging from Pareora Gorge to the West Coast and Nelson, as well as Port Hills suburbs of Christchurch.
Experienced in 2D modelling, Bjorn works alongside clients to develop remediation plans that support long-term protection for future residential and infrastructure development.
