Alastair is a Christchurch-based structural engineer, leading the structural team across commercial, industrial, residential and civil engineering projects. As a Technical Director and Senior Structural Engineer at Davis Ogilvie, he provides practical structural design leadership and oversight from concept through construction.
He has worked in multidisciplinary teams in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom, holding senior roles that span design management, team leadership and project delivery. His technical experience includes structural design in steel, concrete, masonry and timber, as well as post-earthquake building assessments for residential and commercial buildings.
Alastair’s strengths include structural design, site investigations, coordination with other disciplines and construction monitoring, with a strong focus on commercial and industrial projects in Christchurch and across Canterbury.
