Peter has been with DO since 2013, coming from working as a field geologist in the oil and gold industries in Australia.
Peter prepares and undertakes site investigations for domestic and commercial properties and subdivisions in TC1, TC2 and TC3 around Canterbury, West Coast and Nelson. He has expertise in desk study, site investigation, analysis, design and reporting. His geotechnical reports include shallow and deep ground investigation and analysis, geological hazard assessment for subdivision (including liquefaction susceptibility), and recommendations for foundations.
Peter specialises in carrying out peer reviews for legal cases. In the wake of the Canterbury and Kaikoura Earthquakes, Peter has provided geotechnical guidance for both insurance providers and their clients in both private and commercial settings in the interests of resolving disputes in a timely and rational manner.
Interests outside of work
In Peter’s spare time he enjoys piano, reading, gardening, running, sailing and being walked by his dog.
