Peter is an experienced engineering geologist based in Christchurch. He joined Davis Ogilvie over a decade ago, after working as a field geologist in the oil and gold industries in Australia.
Peter specialises in site investigations for residential and commercial properties and subdivisions across Canterbury, the West Coast and Nelson, providing desk study, site investigation, analysis, design and reporting.
His geotechnical reports include shallow and deep ground investigation and analysis, geological hazard assessment for subdivisions – including liquefaction susceptibility – and foundation recommendations.
Peter also has experience providing peer reviews for legal cases. After the Canterbury and Kaikoura earthquakes, he provided insurance providers and clients with clear, practical geotechnical advice to help resolve disputes for private and commercial settings.
