New year new role! It’s great to welcome (some belatedly) new faces to the Davis Ogilvie team:  

 

Ruth Reston joins our civil engineering team in Christchurch as a Civil Engineering Technician, bringing over seven years’ experience as a CAD/infrastructure technician in civil and transport, Ruth has honed her skills with New Zealand and UK consultancies, as well as contributing to EQR and City Care in Christchurch. Enhancing our commitment in providing high-quality civil expertise across the region, Ruth’s skills will undoubtedly contribute to our continued success and growth. 

 

Russ Molyneux joins our geotechnical engineering team as a Senior Engineering Geologist, after spending time working in the United States. With over 12 years of experience, Russ has provided geotechnical investigation and design guidance to a diverse range of clients spanning various sectors. His expertise extends from working in marine/fluvial and hard rock sedimentary settings in South Africa, igneous and metamorphic areas of the North Carolina Piedmont (USA), Central and West Africa, to New Zealand’s varied and seismically active geological landscapes. Russ brings a wealth of geotechnical knowledge, and his recent local projects involving liquefaction, rock slope stability and natural hazard assessments for residential, commercial and light industrial developments in the Kapiti Coast and lower North Island, Nelson/ Tasman / Marlborough regions, West Coast, Canterbury and Central Otago. Russ takes on a pivotal role supporting the flourishing West Coast region at a critical time. 

 

Julian Washington recently joined our environmental sciences team as an Environmental Scientist. Armed with passion and a freshly acquired degree (double major for a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science) and professional experience, Julian brings a keen enthusiasm for contributing to environmental sustainability.  

 

Shona Bolland joined the Greymouth office mid 2023 and in time to celebrate the new office! A proud West Coaster, she brings a wealth of administrative experience including, immigration, records, payroll, reception, executive support as well as time as a teacher aide supporting special needs children.  

 

Chris Richardson joined our civil engineering team in our Christchurch office mid-2023. A senior civil engineer with 17+ years in land development, Chris brings vast UK and New Zealand experience in both public and private sectors, excelling in 3D design for various civil engineering aspects. Passionate about skill-sharing, he aids the team in drawing and 3D modelling.

 

We also warmly welcome back those who have returned to the team after time away!
