Julian Washington

Julian is part of our Christchurch team and brings a strong focus on the environmental aspects of land development projects.

Since joining Davis Ogilvie as a Graduate Environmental Scientist, he has supported a wide range of projects – from large-scale developments to small residential sites – delivering expert services in contaminated land assessment, sampling and remediation.

He also plays a key role in consent monitoring, helping to assess groundwater and surface water quality across the Canterbury, Nelson, Tasman and West Coast regions. This work includes:

  • dewatering consents
  • water-take consents
  • erosion and sediment control monitoring.

Julian is always happy to discuss how we can support your project. His areas of expertise are detailed below.

  • Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations (PSIs/DSIs), including desktop studies and human health risk assessments
  • Soil and groundwater sampling and testing
  • Environmental monitoring of land and water
  • Waste soil classification for reuse or off-site disposal
  • Long-Term Site Management Plans (LTSMPs)
  • Remediation planning and implementation, including Remediation Action Plans (RAPs)
  • Supervision of remediation works, verification testing and reporting
  • Gas membrane inspections
  • Ground gas assessments

Feel free to contact Julian to learn more about how he can help with your environmental needs.
