Henry is a senior engineering geologist and our West Coast geotechnical lead. His deep understanding of the unique geological conditions in Greymouth, Hokitika and Westport makes him one of our trusted experts in geotechnical investigations for rural subdivisions, residential developments and flood mitigation projects across the region.
He has extensive experience undertaking site investigations across TC1, TC2, TC3 and unclassified areas for both residential and commercial developments, as well as delivering reports that include shallow and deep ground investigations, geological hazard assessments, recommendations for foundation designs, and MBIE Technical Categorisation for compliance and resilience against West Coast-specific challenges, such as flooding and seismic activity.
Following the Christchurch earthquakes, Henry led geotechnical investigations for earthquake-damaged residential properties and installed ground monitoring instrumentation for large-scale rural subdivisions and residential/commercial developments. He also contributed to the North Canterbury Transport and Infrastructure Recovery (NCTIR) programme following the Kaikoura earthquakes, managing on-site deep investigations and providing site supervision for critical infrastructure projects so geotechnical solutions met the region’s demanding environmental and seismic requirements.
Henry’s technical expertise and communication skills, combined with his enjoyment of working onsite, make him an asset to any project.
