Colin Forsyth

Colin is a seasoned civil engineer with a remarkable 25-year career spanning diverse projects. Respected in the industry, Colin is a valuable addition to the DO team, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience.

During his tenure at GHD (Christchurch), Colin played a pivotal role in leading the Sewer Emergency Response post the 2011 earthquakes, showcasing his ability to navigate challenging situations. His leadership extended to the earthquake response efforts, notably as a Team Leader in the Stronger Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild Team (SCIRT).

In 2014, Colin returned to Scotland, where he collaborated with Scottish Water on critical projects, contributing significantly to the field. Now, back in New Zealand, he is eager to leverage his in-depth understanding of Scottish Water’s operations for the Three Waters initiative, recognizing the potential parallels of both models.

Beyond his impressive technical background, Colin’s bio focuses on his personable style and commitment to client needs. His proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects aligns perfectly with DO’s vision, and he plays a pivotal role in strengthening our infrastructure footprint across the region.
