Based in the Nelson office, Christopher is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) in New Zealand and a registered Civil Engineer in California with over fifteen years’ geotechnical experience. Before joining Davis Ogilvie in 2021, he managed and designed a range of projects across Wellington and Christchurch.
With specialist skills in geotechnical and earthquake engineering, Christopher has expertise in natural hazard assessment, slope stabilisation, ground improvement, retaining walls, foundation design, seismic strengthening, roadways and land development. He has contributed to natural hazard assessments following major seismic and rainfall events, including the Canterbury earthquake sequence, Kaikoura seismic event, Cyclone Gita and recent severe rainfall events.
Christopher has also supported councils including Nelson City, Marlborough District, Wellington City and Christchurch City with design advice and reporting.
