Davis Ogilvie were engaged to provide geotechnical, structural and surveying services to assess the suitability of a site to house an Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) remediation system. The site is located downslope of a discussed coal mine adit from which acidic, iron rich waters were draining.
DO have given recommendations on how to capture this AMD and divert into a remediation system designed by CRL Energy. The preliminary investigations have assessed the ground bearing of the site, given foundation options and structural recommendations on constructing a work platform on the site. Davis Ogilvie also assessed the suitability of the track to mobilise equipment to the remote site located 1.5 km into the bush.
