We are looking for someone who would enjoy working in a small local office, as part of a larger South Island wide multi-disciplinary team of Civil, Structural, Geotechnical and Environmental Engineers, Surveyors and Planners. The type of work is varied ranging from small residential developments, to commercial sites and would include West Coast projects as well as wider South Island projects from time to time.

The successful applicant will preferably be working towards an application to be a Chartered Professional Engineer, and will be offered excellent remuneration, a great work life balance and training under our Engineering NZ PDP approved training scheme.
We are aiming to get a civil engineer experienced in infrastructure design, roading, stormwater and wastewater. The ideal applicant will enjoy working with clients, contractors and local authorities.
To be successful in this role you will ideally need:
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in infrastructure design or land development.
• A relevant tertiary qualification.
• To be familiar with relevant New Zealand standards, in particular engineering code of practices in the Canterbury region.
• An understanding of 3D design using Autodesk Civil3D.
• Experience with stormwater and water modelling software such as MikeURBAN, EPANET, SSA and HEC HMS would be an advantage.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage time effectively and take control of their own workload and projects.
• A fun and outgoing personality.
