Davis Ogilvie is proud to announce that we have recently achieved carboNZero certification for our fourth consecutive year.

carboNZero certification is an internationally accredited Greenhouse Gas (GHG) certification scheme, recognised in over 60 countries.

carboNZero certification involves taking accountability and action against greenhouse gas emissions generated as a result of our business activities. We have been assessed comprehensively to international standards for measuring and managing a carbon footprint.

The team at DO are committed to taking steps to reduce our impact on the environment, and are mitigating the emissions we can’t reduce with certified carbon credit.

Davis Ogilvie’s carbon credits are purchased in the Hinewai Forest. These carbon credits are created from regenerating native forests. The concept is to increase the area of native forest on private land in New Zealand, while providing an income for landowners. This will reduce New Zealand’s net greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere, and also allow native biodiversity to flourish, reduce soil erosion and improve catchment water quality.
